Soap and water will remove any oils. If the surface to be coated is smooth or shiny, you can roughen it up a bit with sandpaper or fine steel wool. Then you can get started!   <\/p>\n<p>Metal coatings do not require heat treatment. They need 4-6 hours to cure, after which polishing reveals the metal in the coating.
