This ring is made from only 5 grams of silver clay and wood clay. The base starts with a ring of wood clay. A layer of silver clay is applied over that. Let that dry. Then a small thin piece of silver clay with texture applied over the top of the ring. Again letting this dry, fill with Art Clay Spray Clay at the edges of the textured piece so that it becomes one with the rest of the ring. During firing, the wood clay burns completely. The silver sinters into a solid silver ring. This creates a hollow ring. Light weight, little silver needed and yet strong. After firing, the ring is blackened with blitz stain for an antique look.
