Better Bond – 20 ml

Better Bond is a specially formulated, all-natural adhesive designed for use with all types of metal clay. Unlike traditional adhesives, this adhesive is designed to burn completely during firing, creating a strong, clean metal-to-metal bond.

Universal use – Suitable for silver, copper, bronze and other metal clays.

Better Bond works just like glue. Put a drop on your piece and attach your second piece. Use sparingly as it bonds quickly. Apply light pressure for a few seconds to ensure a good bond. Better Bond can be used at the clay stage as well as on fired pieces with fresh clay.

Each Better Bond bottle comes with a dropper and a precision tip. To use the precision tip, remove the insert from the dropper, taking care to avoid damaging the cap or bottle. Remove the white band (located on the precision tip) and place the rubber ring on the bottle, under where the precision cap will sit. Screw the precision tip onto the bottle.

Instructions for use:

For unfired metal clay

Apply a small amount of Better Bond to one surface.
Gently press the pieces together.
Allow to dry before baking.

For unfired on fired metal boulder

Roughen the baked piece only at the joint location.
Apply Better Bond to both the baked piece and the unbaked piece.
Take a small amount of fresh clay, place it between your 2 pieces and join them together.

For baked to baked

Make both pieces rough in the area of the joint.
Add Better Bond to both pieces.
Take a small amount of fresh clay, place it between your 2 pieces and join them together.
