This ring started with:
7 grams of silver clay
A lacy silver marquis setting with prongs. Suitable for co-firing with silver clay
A red garnet marquis zirconia.
Using a pressure plate, roll a hose.
Put this in the correct size ( see our knowledge base rings, for size calculation and shrinkage of the clay) around the ring stick. Close the seam and press the prong setting into the clay.
On both sides of the prong setting is placed a silver ball, also made from the silver clay. Let dry. Touch up and sand.
Dry well after ( always be 100% sure your workpiece is dry before firing)
Then finish firing, polishing and polishing and finally place the marquis zirconia in the setting and by pressing the prongs down on the stone secure the stone.
